In my experience buying a camera is as simple as asking the right questions and reading the right reviews. Exposure Modes – For determining the shutter speed and aperture used for each shot or whether the factors are split.

Autofocus Zoom Lens – Depending upon the model and lens that you select, most modern cameras take the hard work out of taking the perfect picture. Electronics can now bring the subject into focus much quicker than the human eye / hand co-ordination.

Clearly these are only a few of the considerations when choosing an upgrade to your current camera model, it is essential that you don’t over purchase and over engineer what may be a hobby for you, some modern day compact cameras at the $250 – $400 bracket can deliver astonishing results, check out the alternatives before you take the plunge.
